Houlihan Lokey was seeking a unique financial deal toy to commemorate a large transaction and illuminate the idea of construction with a crane. The client was specifically looking to use different materials to make sure the final effect created a different look from what they were originally used to receiving.
The Cristaux Team took a traditional approach with this project and set up the main material as crystal. We did not want to add a mixture of different materials because the final effect could create an outcome where materials clash with one another. This can unnecessarily impact the unit cost a lot more than the client was looking to spend.
In the end, we introduced a granite panel into the design that we sand blasted. We left the crystal as UV printed creating some minor contrast. The final piece was unique, pushing past the bounds of modern design.
