After Granite acquired LiquiForce, they wanted to highlight their new valve system in a functional scenario. This meant taking parts of the valve system as more than just design inspiration.
To depict the valve, Cristaux used not just the element of a pipe but the distinct colors that come along with that. One in particular was the blue component. We debated using a 3D laser but ended up 3d-printing the valve. We then painted it a teal color to truly highlight the piece. This process gave us the proper dimensions to highlight it a bit better. Last, we tied it together nicely by mounting it on a black base.
