IDEA + OVERVIEW

The R360 Global program is a comprehensive growth initiative designed to engage young individuals in various business pillars, fostering both personal and intellectual development. This immersive program provides participants with hands-on experiences and challenges them to achieve milestones that are recognized through a unique award system.

Receiving an award in the R360 Global Program signifies significant accomplishment and growth. As participants progress through the program, they work through different business pillars, each designed to build essential skills and knowledge. The awards are not just symbols of achievement but also tangible representations of the hard work, dedication, and personal development each participant has undergone.

R360 wanted their award system to signify each achievement in a notable way. Drawing inspiration from geometric shapes, Cristaux was tasked to design an award concept that was art deco but that also highlighted the six pillars of development beyond a standard medal or statue.

CHALLENGES

The biggest challenge then became consistency. The design must have a free flowing, interactive concept that makes this a functional award where individuals take part in the actual design. We ended up with a highly customized award that blended beautifully with customized medallions.

The idea was there were six medallion coins that would be slotted into the base once a recipient reaches a milestone. This physical interaction was integral to the award manufacturing process because each medallion represents a different aspect of personal or intellectual growth, serving as a reminder of the diverse skills and knowledge the participants have acquired. The base, where the medallions rest, had to be sturdy because it symbolizes a strong foundation built through the program.

While a lot of hand manufacturing went into this process, in the end, we were able to create a design that any recipient would be proud to behold.

THE CREATION

The awards are intricately designed to reflect the journey of growth and achievement, inspired by art deco aesthetics and featuring a three-dimensional geometric statue. This statue embodies the concept of natural crystallization, reminiscent of a crystal forming out of rock, symbolizing organic growth. Its intentionally imperfect shape represents the unique and individualized journey of each participant.

Balancing natural imperfection with artistic precision, the awards were meticulously crafted. Each statue, comprising 5-6 individual components, was hand-cut, polished, and assembled. There were six slots to house the medallions representing the pillars of achievement, with a final medallion inlaid into the crystal formation. Each medallion featured intricately placed diamonds, adding a note of sophistication and elevating the award significantly.

Over 100 pieces were produced, each one a testament to the participant’s journey and the program’s commitment to excellence.
