Why We Started This Initiative
At Cristaux, we’ve seen far too many organizations settle for boring, cookie-cutter awards that fail to inspire. Recognition should be powerful — a reflection of your brand, your values, and the excellence you celebrate.
With our “Do Your Awards Suck?!” initiative, we’re calling on organizations to raise the bar. Twice a year, we select one company to receive up to $10,000 in complimentary creative and prototyping services — including custom concepts, professional mockups, and expert guidance from our in-house team.
This isn’t just a redesign. It’s a chance to rethink your entire recognition experience. If your current awards are falling flat, we want to hear from you. Let’s create something worth celebrating.
How It Works
Submit Your Sucky Awards
Tell us about your current awards program. Upload photos, share descriptions, and if possible, send a physical sample. We want to see what you’re working with.
Get Selected
Twice a year — after June 30 and December 31 — we select one organization to receive a full award program makeover, completely on us. With refreshed design concepts, we reimagine every element to better reflect your brand and inspire your recipients.
Collaborate on Custom Design
Our design and engineering team will work closely with you to create up to five custom award concepts, including revisions. We’ll show you what truly custom awards can look like — from modern crystal trophies to custom metal sculptures.

Receive concept renderings, rough production quotes, and potentially prototypes — all to help you reimagine your recognition program.
What’s Included
- Up to $5,000 in creative, design, and engineering services.
- Up to $5,000 in prototyping support, if applicable.
- 3–5 custom award concepts, plus revisions.
- No obligation to purchase final pieces — but exclusive discounted pricing if you do.
Who Can Apply?
- Established organizations (corporate, non-profit, government, educational institutions, etc.).
- Must have an existing, active recognition program — no one-off or new programs.
- Must provide clear photos and/or physical samples of current awards.
- Must consent to Cristaux showcasing your “before and after” as a case study.

Do we have to buy the final redesigned awards?
No. You’re under no obligation, but you’ll receive an exclusive discounted price if you’d like to move forward.
Can any organization apply?
Only established organizations with an existing recognition program. We do not accept individual, new, or one-off projects.
What happens if we win?
You’ll collaborate directly with our custom awards experts to redesign your program, get professional concepts, and optionally, prototypes — all valued up to $10,000.
