Founded in 1926, Mercedes-Benz is a leading luxury and commercial vehicle manufacturer. Distributing its technology around the globe, its team is dedicated to moving the world forward.


The Challenge

Mercedes was in need for a contemporary internal award. Specifically, they wanted an award that would commemorate their “AMG” line that allowed the Mercedes logo to be magnetic from the actual design itself, all within the budget provided.

The Solution

The Cristaux process started with machined aluminum which was then anodized black. The personalization was screen-printed white on top of the anodized aluminum, and then we had a metal pin inset into routered hole in the base. Atop that pin we set the Mercedes molded logo which could be pulled off at any point, although it was firmly applied via a strong earth magnet.
