We’re looking for the next Quality Control & Inventory Lead to join our team. This individual will inspect incoming product for flaws or inaccuracies in dimensions prior to placing into inventory. They will aide in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of all production work areas while creating and following proper procedures to improve effectiveness and safety according to the standards Cristaux has created. The Quality Control & Inventory Lead will provide supplies and maintain inventory levels as well as perform quality checks of the products, including but not limited to: awards, and packing supplies.

Due to the flexible and urgent nature of the design and manufacturing industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs. Regular attendance in conformance with the work standards and productivity, which is established and may be changed by Cristaux International from time to time based on levels of business, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Essential Functions:

Quality Control:

  • Inspect all incoming products for flaws and inaccuracies, ensuring compliance with specifications before inventory placement.
  • Oversee and support the quality control team, providing clear guidance and leading by example.
  • Complete and manage rejection forms in collaboration with Procurement and Accounting managers.
  • Retrieve and prepare products for production in alignment with work orders.
  • Communicate inventory and quality issues to relevant departments promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Ensure inventory levels are accurate within the ERP system
  • Ensure items are checked out and into the system accurately.

Project and Process Management:

  • Monitor and manage project timelines, ensuring on-time, within-scope, and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Develop and share comprehensive project plans with internal teams
  • Track and analyze project performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Procurement team for delivery of containers and awards.
  • Communicate to Procurement + Plant Operations Manager when repeat factory issues are occurring

General Requirements:

  • Organize daily tasks, prioritize project management, and maintain accuracy in all responsibilities.
  • Handle customer service needs, order processing, and vendor interactions with professionalism and alignment with Cristaux’s values.
  • Ensure proper inventory levels, monitor stock distribution, and address backorders or missing items proactively.

Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced time management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP, and Project Management systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Experience with ERP tools is a plus.

Marginal Functions:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Must possess clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to handle the stress of and meet deadlines.
  • Clean, vacuum and organize workstations and work areas.
  • Clean and remove trash from all work areas at end of every day.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Position Type

This is a full-time position at our Elk Grove Village facility.

Education & Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control, procurement, or related roles.
