Position Overview
The Digital Content Marketing Specialist will support and report to the Marketing Operations Manager and will be responsible for coordinating and curating digital content that helps drive sales leads and brand growth.
The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: curation of all content on marketing mediums such as email newsletters, website content (landing pages, white papers, news articles, case studies, blog posts, sales enablement materials), PR that drives results (press releases, ghost writing, aid in backlinking campaigns, etc.) and any other content as it relates to marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and tactical execution of digital content marketing initiatives which drive traffic, engagement, and leads to deliver sales and customer retention.
- Develop engaging online content including blog articles, videos, graphics, email, social media and ads; monitor and analyze content.
- Create and/or manage marketing materials, such as sales collateral or digital product catalogs, and ensure brand guidelines are met.
- Plan and administer public relations programs and manage outreach to media and associations.
- Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g. procurement and sales) to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives.
- Conduct research as needed to create content relevant to the target audience. Understand the target personas and topics that are relevant to them.
- Manage search engine optimization of website pages, and work in tandem with SEO team to optimize and reach goals.
- Assist team with any additional digital asset maintenance and management.
Specific Position Requirements
- Must have at least a bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent.
- Experience creating web content including graphic design for marketing materials.
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Web development experience preferred (WordPress, Wix).
- Basic understanding of SEO.
- Competent with digital photography is preferred. This includes operating a DSLR camera and using photo editing software.
- Full proficiency and continued advancement with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including but not limited to InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & Acrobat.
- Ability to adapt to different writing styles based on the needs of the content.
- Capable of writing succinct, fact-filled content with an active and engaging tone.
- Solid command of the English language: Both written and verbal.
- Strong multi-tasking and organization skills. Advanced time management and analytical skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Able to thrive in a high-stress and fast paced environment.
- Flexible, friendly, and engaging. Must be able to communicate in an encouraging and stimulating manner, on a frequent basis with upper management, individuals or groups.
- Establish reliable lines of contact with members of the Cristaux team to find content-worthy topics.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Marketing Operations Manager.
Position Type
This is a full-time position. Typical working hours are 8 am-4:30pm. Communication and access to emails after hours as needed. Once trained, the candidate may work remotely or from our Elk Grove Village facility.
Required Education & Experience
Associates Degree. Minimum two (2) years of related content writing experience. Will preferably have a degree in Marketing, English or Communications. Will be able to write interesting, well-researched and emotionally charged content for all marketing mediums.
Qualifications and Physical/Mental Requirements
The Digital Content Marketing Specialist must have direct experience writing web content. Experience using Microsoft Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud Applications. The ideal candidate should have high levels of emotional intelligence and have the ability to research, interpret and curate unique content to drive traffic to all marketing mediums. Must be able to publish multiple types of content on the fly and adapt to new marketing campaign initiatives on an ad hoc basis. Candidates should be comfortable writing quality content spanning from 500 – 2,000 words depending on the platform. All candidates should be prepared to show a portfolio of their work.
Daily tasks include: Flexible work hours. Will need to work with all members of the Cristaux team to research and develop worthy content for the website, social media, educational content, and other marketing campaigns. Will focus on aligning work with SEO capabilities and use creative autonomy to further develop out campaigns to reach our goals.
